More ….. about ad/profile suggestions

If you’ve been searching for a business for a while, (as most buyers have), you have probably visited a number of business-for-sale web-sites and noticed listings with a lack of quantitative information on which to ascertain a level of interest.  And, perhaps you have contacted the seller, requested information and still found it difficult to obtain what is needed.

In their ads, sellers frequently disclose too much of the wrong information and too little of the right; who they are and how great the potential rather than a depiction of what the business IS today. Buyers answering the ad and looking for more substantive detail will often expect the seller to ‘tell all’ without knowing who or anything about who they’re telling.

While potential buyers want quantitative information quickly in order to measure a level of interest or lack thereof, the owner/seller will want assurances of the legitimate intent and ample capabilities of the buyer, and neither wants to go first.

These conflicting positions can jeopardize an opportunity when, in reality, both parties can disclose a great deal of confidential information, safely, without feeling or being exposed and vulnerable, provided the parties can remain anonymous until the fit potential has been considerably explored.

Such anonymity and such disclosure are available through our on-line intermediary program.

Of course, all sorts and sizes of businesses, enterprises, real property and ventures will be listed for-sale on this site, where confidentiality may not be such an issue. The above suggestions are directed largely at buyers looking for an established and profitable going business concern

For those who might be a first time or uncertain buyer, this web-site is quite full of ‘how-to’ and ‘how-not-to’ suggestions and contains tools and a detailed strategy to walk you through the process, including business valuation, preparing and placing the Business-Wanted ad, confidentiality and the disclosure/non-disclosure process, the development of offers to purchase, the due-diligence process, and all the way through the close of sale.
